What I do
When I look at images, the most important thing to me is the emotion and memories tied to it. Life isn't perfect, we aren't perfect, and there shouldn't be pressure to be perfect. My approach for every session whether it be Families, Weddings, or just about anything else leans very heavily on documenting candid and authentic moments. I like to set the scene in some instances but when it comes down to it, genuine connection and moments are far more meaningful down the road.
My approach has changed significantly in the last year. So I would say my style is very much documentary with a bit of connection and emotive posing. It's so much more than just a "pretty" photo. This is real, this is your family, your wedding day, your son's first steps, these are the memories you are choosing to cherish for a lifetime.

I shot my first wedding in 2017 and fell IN LOVE. I knew then that photographing couples and their love stories was my "thing" and dove in head first! So I've been photographing weddings for 6 years now!
Yes! I am so excited to be offering 35mm film as an add-on to sessions and weddings! 35mm film is so special to me. The images tell more of a story and capture more feeling in the moment. You have to be far more intentional when shooting film and it makes the images so much more meaningful. Digital is GREAT, but film has my heart. Film is real and perfectly imperfect.
Although turn around time varies depending on time of year, It typically takes anywhere from 4-8 weeks for photo galleries and 8-16 weeks for video. I try send a sneak peak for photos within 24-48 hours and those will include all family formals so you and your loved ones can print away! :) I am a perfectionist and don't just slap on a "filter" on and call it a day. Your images and video are important to me and I have the highest standards for myself and my work.
My style has changed quite a lot since I first started photographing weddings in 2017, But has changed the most in 2023. I would describe my "style" as a mix of documentary, photojournalistic, and traditional. I do lean more on the documentary style end of things. I want you to feel something when you look at your images rather than "oh, that's a pretty picture!" I love movement and connection and you will see that in majority of my images. :)
